I have broad experience as an underwriter and I use those skills to identify issues and concerns that have or could create adverse circumstances for my clients. This kind of analysis helps to define a value proposition and provides the basis for organizing resources to reduce uncertainty and achieve beneficial results.
How do you turn a challenge into an opportunity?
Every challenge has an inherent opportunity, but the risk of failure can outweigh or obscure the benefits. I weigh the risk-reward of potential outcomes to determine if a long-term benefit can be achieved by overcoming a short-term problem.
How has your international experience shaped the way you conduct business today?
My international career experiences have given me a global perspective on business activities and government policies. I have worked with individuals in Europe, Asia, and Africa on transactions and regulations. These experiences increased my understanding and appreciation of trans-border relationships and the interconnectedness of markets and governments. Also, I learned how to cascade broad strategic objectives down into specific market segments and compliance procedures.
